I had a trip to southbank. I sketched scenaries through small paper board. I noticed some people, birds and dogs passing by. I looked over the
bridge to see refer to waves. I watched carefully of public constructions of how people managed to live aside a river. I used a pencil to draw
whole things. I used single line to make a drawing. From seeing the outcome, I think I could make some shadows. I could smudge my pencil
using finger to express shadow. It is because when I was drawing, I wondered how I could put depth into the drawing. I asked my tutor to gain
some good suggestion. However, what if I asked a question more certainly? A good answer comes from a good question. I got a reply of
adding depth by pencil smudge. Later, I could ask myself first, why isn’t there more depth? What can I do to put more depth? The concept of
most of the drawing is a continuous line. It is a way of drawing but can be more. I like how a line can be very flowy represented . Overall, I
really liked little trip and discussion of a good drawing.
Reflecting on the project + suggesting areas for personal and professional development
In my project proposal, I stated that my focus is to bring out inner thinking of women to dissolve to the world without any struggle. I think I achieved some of that only. I could have done more to achieve them.
For example, searching for more results for woman in general. However, because I targetted women in trouble, I studied women in trouble. Like, victim of spy cams and abortion. I could do more affection from life as a female student because I have already experienced of that. People used to mention that women have positive energy. That doesn’t mean women have been curing everything. That being said, I am satisfied with my work expressing some negative ideas from women inside since my target is ‘Everyone who are really interested in women’.
Furthermore, I had bothering outside factors as I always did. For example, my nearest people still get in touch with my business with much talk. However, I think struggle could only be a part of project generation putting outside factors aside. It is because a story plot makes itself from a struggle every chance.
Now I have created a mood with deep drawings. I am not going to stop this mood I guess. So, I will take this forward in my future practice to create promotional things, animation and sequential art. I will be using screen printing either. I really like working alone in a place. That is comforting so I do, not like I am not bringing a woman inside out.
I want to work alone but I want to keep researching for more in the world. I often lose my consistency in visual of my artwork being what I liked to represent in my art now for future is good. So I can be still, fixed in a place.
Reflecting on my development of my outcome
I tried to figure out my personal relation to the word transform. At the beginning, I thought maybe I could enter lines inside shadow of a character to express them as a whole. I had my notes to use for sontext and I wanted them to be represented. However, in order to transform lines, putting them in a shadow wouldn’t be a key because of bad visualisation. I wasn’t solving a problem but I was looking for a good representation.
I represented some concepts that I could make my outcome. However, since I didn’t like that very much because of it’s outlook, I made decision to find out another idea.
I represented some concepts that I could make my outcome. However, since I didn’t like that very much because of it’s outlook, I made decision to find out another idea.
Also, I studied Basquiat. I inspired by him and produced a painting of my mother and her story from my viewpoint. The painting includes the pain when she steped on poke in unorganised environment, her aim to be at work, her destruct when the beauty destructs and agony from a pain in her right breast. I therefore knew much more how to express character and words in a painting through Basquiat.
I studied Kiss haring. I thought some of his work can be also transformed into Men’s figure. I will therefore try it out later.
I created a storyboard out of Basquiat, Kiss haring and Rebel’s works. There characterising styles helped me creating several characters with each standing out visuals. I didn’t use any shadow and inside words. However, I could use lines floating in blank near character which Basquiat used to do.
Reflecting on primary and secondary research
I studied Basquiat and and Rebel to create a character for my outcome. I like Basquiat’s style because lines are thick and rough. I tried to make my lines thick then I liked result because I have done many rough drawings before. However, Ink is a unfamiliar media so it was challenging.
Also, I found Rebel’s paintings gorgeous. It is because her choice of colours are great. The smooth texture of hers matches with curvy drawing. Furthermore, I like wet painting she has done for painting. It represents a chill mood.
I brought several personal object to the class in dorder to draw. I stood up with my classmate in front of objects and the sketchbook with a ink tip. We had not enough time for complicated drawing so most were a rush. However, I liked the feeling of a quick drawing with an catching eye. I learned how to build up a mood and character drawing quickly.
Reflecting to my ideas
When I had my ideas I executed them by making a mindmap. I used to make my ideas randomly so a mindmap was challenging for me even though I used to do it and it is already a quite random way to represent ideas. At this point, each of my ideas don’t have much of connection for each other. However, it was an okay situation because I researched many different artist for their meanings for transformation. For example, John cage expressed how to achieve a random results in order to show chance as not a way of giving up choices.
I made a storyboard out of my characters from ink drawings in experiment. At that moment, I thought I could develop a whole background using them as a characters. Therefore, I made a city called blackout and included characters into that city to show connection. The city now has keywords such as company, diversity and scarce source. They represent their themes through advertisement because the company works for it. I stated I liked my idea of funny characcters and their relationship and I didn’t like some contents not from real- life. It is because I could develop it further later.
Academy English reflection
I have sent several years across the world to learn English. For example, I had valuable chances to learn cross cultural communications happened in this course. It allowed me to talk to a diverse pool including English people in other culture. I found this chance positively because it helped me to grow up my language skill which lead myself to change. However, at some point I challenged because there is a point of view which learning English keeps myself asking and thinking problematically, since I thought how far the changes are good enough.
Cross cultural communication is useful when you want to learn how to express yourself. I liked myself as a student having conversation with teachers. While sending and gaining e-mails and written feedbacks from tutors, I defined learning new thing always to change myself. I believe changes are made when the society give birth to what is good. However, in the circulation of representing my work continuously, sometimes I questioned myself; do I like haters because they give me attention even though they notes that I don’t meet their tastbuds; their societic, cultural goodness? I experienced highly productive workshops such as animating and storyboarding. I changed from learning that LCC offered students.
On the other hand, cross cultural communication is hesitating when there are some language differences. For example, Academy English is hard when you mistake to meet other’s criteria instead of adding a little salt to own ways of communication to push progress and achievement. I narrow cultural difference to my own difference. I find it hard to measure how far the changes offered are good. For instance, I learned how to write in Jemma’s Academy English. Also, I learned how to animate famous ink drawings in Lucy’s group. I cannot accept other’s diverse while I pretend to like what people mention are the best art. I will negotiate to add other’s wants to my own cultural creation. Therefore, I will continue to learn English and Animation to produce my own communications.
In conclusion, Academy English is useful for expressing one. For example, I liked it because English and Art are such different things but they both are ways of communications. They kept me writing and painting. However, cross cultural communication is hesitating when there are some language differences. Therefore, I will continue to learn English and Animation to produce my own communications.
Sustainability in-class work
Today, technology is one media to raise sustainability of resources. McKinsey’s leading sustainability experts mentioned that Public electric vehicles(EVs), “eTrucks” for electric trucks and even Carbon capture and storage(CCS) transit energy for us to use.

Transform Proposal
My focus on this project is to bring out my inner thinking of women outside to share and dissolve to the world without any struggle among development. My intended audience is women and anyone that is positively interested in women. My three keywords for the personal project are (Outside), (woman), (experience). It is because I as an inner thinker is weak. I will represent my ideas like a profound worker. Then, I would affect and be affected by the people who intend to change the world of women. I will work towards producing animation and sequence art because I learned After Effect in workshops and I am inspired by sequence art of my own story. However, from the first term, I realized that I have not fully grown my thought because of interruptions. In other words, I need to mature myself to bring my inner thinking transformed outside. For example, I will not abstract nor complicate things. I made one of my collections projects out of what I misunderstand. Even though I felt greatful by clear manufactured drawings like Anime because they are neat and clear, therefore I need to generate a clear, basic inner thinking to avoid anime. I want to visualize the two topics, abortion and spycam using my inner illustration of own character and their story.
I was influenced by Kathe Kollwitz. The demonstration project as my starting point was relevant by protest experience. I intend to research the cases of other countries contributing the same area of mine. I want to use books, journals as sources of information. In order to look for other countries, I aim to secondary research other artists including Basquiat. He is not a theme of women but surely I can compare his work to my idea to generate key points.
Book art and digital area (AE, PS) are what I want to explore. I want to use them as the media. I will draw in real life then edit them. I was inspired by AE and PS workshops. Also, Screenprinting might be in book cover. I will newly develop book art proces area. I will use Cs(Clip studio) if I want to add more depth in forms of paintings. For example, I can make my storyboard on paper using ink then move on to computer, I can edit artwork using Ae and Cs. In this case, I will use less Cs because all the drawings are in analogue. I want to effectively edit my idea and drawings because the aims like spycams and avoiding anime are complicated then I want to destruct them to ease.
I will likely write a critical reflection on my final term or mid-term works. I will particpate some sharing of people that they have similar theme as myself to determine success fulness as I also judge it because of writing reflection if I like my work and what to add. I can refine and transform story in memos and pat works of collection into my identification of personal development but also refining to be professional.
Trevor Paglen: From ‘Apple’ to ‘Anomaly’ at the Barbican
In today, Multi- media information leads response in contemporary society as effective images. This review will focus on the display of the exhibition “The Curve”which shows dense materials because photos are from the ImageNet dataset were chose in order to perform object recognition. According to Barbican Press (2019) Trevor Paglen was commissioned to create “The Curve” (December 2019). His work refers to human behavior in history. He is interested in visualizing unseen power in humanity’s daily life. Trevor Paglen notes that ‘These images aren’t meant for us; they’re meant to do things in the world; human eyes aren’t in the loop. (2019)’ This has lead to a development of a visualization to imagine an alternative near future. In the Curve Gallery, images gather together to draw an eye of viewers so they collect stories out of the flow. Square 10cm x 10cm photos are scattered in ordered compositions over the curved wall. Shallow lights from the ceiling help the audience to look at the photos without distraction. There are name tags that are active as representatives such as (Venture capitalist), (Diverse lawyer) and (Pentagons) on the themes. Each words are attached with for groups of photos. Around the keywords, related photos gather together build up an atmosphere.
When I was in the exhibition, I was stopped from taking photos by the staff. I am linking that moment to many artist minding photos abused by third party. On the other hand, there is that or they liked the audience to be in present. So if the photos are linking people around the world. Madonna said there is restrictions from now on in my show to not take photos. She wanted audience to be present but not really the asthetic of third party.
There are attractive keywords that vary over the circular wall which involves from the nature of the sun, honeycomb and cheetahs to humanity such as politician, dentist and there is even a spy satelite. Together they produce a huge pool of informative web. From watching it visitors receive that wonderful feeling of mixture through cultures of the universe. The burning sun and spy satelite floating in space into the stars glowing are a storage symbol of technology. Although they are both not natural and not sorted as a same category in term of production by mankind it is even better the difference from each other. The difference between couple of pictures remind viewers of a storyboard coming out of them. After a while with an eye of observation, the visitors reach a realization that each theme of photos are not literally pointing out truth. For instance, a word from the wall “racist” is next to a picture of President Obama. It depicts that the data pool includes a target of racism to an obvious racist. Each group of photos are responsible for clear points that are concise and dense. On the other hand, there are simply dramatic group of photos such as alcoholics and infections which affect the viewers with a creepy feeling. Several keywords not considered normal but extraordinary and also included are the words: (hunks) and (drugs). As a result, the efficacy of photos build up dynamic stories using only several words. Therefore, “The Curve” illustrates audience imagination of stories refering to the presentation.
The flow of photos ends up with reminder of a huge storyboard. They are ordered in decent color ranges with natural or extraordinary pictures with thoughtful lists of words. It is quite impressive when the viewers construct stories in their head by observing them as water flow. Most of the pictures have connections between their objects in “The Curve” which is a language shared each other as a nature, people and science and society. In that way, “the Curve” causes the audience to feel involved by themselves. This idea is a huge inspiration to give people a space of imagination through their ongoing project.

I chose this text because I was highly interested in the topic to serve energy using natural environment still not usual as natural resource, the sahara soil. I am going to relate it using natural phenomenons into my essay. The artists built a model of industry and energy generator to show how to grow crops using sahara’s rich soil. People are negotiating to develop an unused environment like sahara. The food source can be anywhere but effective one could be developed by designers and performers. I want to find about how they do that and why the activity is important.
